The work queue listed on this page has apparently not been processed in well over a year. The Metrics page has not been updated in 5 months. Am I wasting my time submitting recordings?

Even with all evidence to the contrary? It will take more than a single-word answer to convice me.

>Even with all evidence to the contrary?

Not sure what you are looking for... the speech audio is still being collected, it will be compiled into an updated acoustic model - no time frame.

Do you need access to all the submissions in the past year?  That can be done, but you will have to normalize and ensure they are clean yourself.  A tedious job, even with scripts to speed things up.

Remember, all the audio submissions and code are GPLv3.  You can fork the project if you want - that is the open source way.

Well this at least is a thoughtful response which leads me to believe that I'm talking to someone other than a spammer. Thanks for the reply.

>Not sure what you are looking for

As my original post indicated, I was looking for some signs of life. I guess there are some here after all, even with over a years worth of data still to be processed.

Since the data that is available is so out of date, can you give us some indication of how many hours have been collected, or was June the last time any of it was processed?

Come on, stop bothering this guy, he does tedious, precious voluntary programing work (so complex that you and I can't do it btw.). Give him some space so he can spend his free time with his family.

"Nope" was fine answer to me. :D

Besides, the metrix page has been updated recently. See for yourself:
